Reviews:
The words to describe this quartet are tuneful collaboration. Within the vast differences among the instruments, the range of subtlety is bountiful, balanced and beautiful on Drori s Point In Time....The impact of the entire recording emanates from its silky storytelling.......It is simply one faultless lyrical line, evolving through intercepted or supplemented lines offered by each instrumental source........each band member's contribution both stands out and blends in simultaneously (Lynn Horton, All About Jazz)

Drummer-composer Drori Mondlak joins longtime cohort Cary DeNigris, veteran bassist Steve LaSpina and alto saxophonist Karolina Strassmayer on this rewarding session. Strassmayer solos with remarkable fluency and conviction on the loosely swinging, time-shifting Sweet Tooth. The drummer delivers a thoughtful arrangement of Frank Foster's lovely Simone and turns in an expressive solo on Strassmayer's lyrical 5/4 vehicle It Once was A Waltz. DeNigris, a monster player, provides some fretboard thrills on his slow I've Paid Some Blues and he blows with legato abandon on his angular, funky No Name Blues. Guitarist and drummer close the session with the playfully interactive duet The Prance. (Bill Milkowski, Jazz Times)
