This re-issue of Monteverdi’s Vespers – a famous album by Jordi Savall - is the starting point of the new series “Alia Vox Heritage”, which will enable us to re-discover the most beautiful recordings made by Jordi Savall between 1977 and 1997 for the Astrée (now Naïve) label.
The stunting multichannel remastering reveals the beautiful sound of this recording made in 1989 in the little Santa Barbara chapel in Mantova (Italy), the very place of the Première in 1610. The digipak is a piece of art in itself (as usual) and fully corresponds to the Alia Vox’s quality level.
